Bushcraft at Glasgow Outdoor Pursuits
Embrace your wild side with a 2-hour Bushcraft Session! Perfect for beginners and nature enthusiasts alike, this hands-on experience will teach you essential outdoor skills in a fun and supportive environment.
What to Expect -
Beginner Friendly: This course is suitable for beginners so if this is your first time doing Bushcraft or you are just looking to get out and enjoy nature, then this session is for you!
Safety First: Begin the day by learning how to safely and sustainably enjoy the incredible Bushcraft locations that we operate from.
Fire Craft: Master the art of fire lighting using natural materials and learn how to safely maintain and extinguish it.
Shelter Building: Work together to construct a sturdy shelter using your surroundings.
Campfire Cooking: Get creative by making delicious damper bread or indulging in classic toasted marshmallows over an open flame.
Group Size: With a maximum 1:12 instructor ratio, we will ensure everyone has the opportunity to try all techniques and then split you off into teams to build your own fires and shelters before coming together at the end to toast marshmallows over the communal fire!
Kit: We provide all of the equipment for you to enjoy the session! If you do have your own Bushcraft kit feel free to bring it along.
What do you need to bring?
Clothing: Please wear suitable clothing that you do not mind getting wet and muddy. Securely attached and close toed footwear is required to, so unfortunately no crocs, flip flops or sandals!
Weather: Our sessions will go ahead in all but the most inclement weather, so make sure you bring your waterproofs, a sun hat, and plenty of water to stay hydrated, this way you will be prepared for whatever weather Scotland throws our way.

Yes, our activities will proceed as planned, rain or shine! At Glasgow Outdoor Pursuits, we believe a little rain adds to the adventure and provides an authentic outdoor experience. Our instructors are experienced in managing sessions in all weather conditions, ensuring safety and enjoyment throughout.
We recommend wearing appropriate clothing, such as waterproof jackets and sturdy footwear, to keep comfortable. If conditions become unsafe due to extreme weather, we will inform you of any changes to the schedule.

Can I get a refund if I need to cancel my booking?
We understand that plans can change. Our refund policy is as follows:
Full Refund: Cancellations made at least 28 days before the activity date will receive a 100% refund.
Partial Refund: Cancellations made between 14 and 28 days before the activity date will receive a 50% refund.
No Refund: Unfortunately, cancellations made less than 14 days before the activity date are non-refundable.
However, we’re here to help! If you need to cancel within 14 days of your activity, please contact us as soon as possible. Depending on the circumstances, we may be able to offer credit for a future booking or reschedule your activity to another date.
